radius

It’s that time of year again: I need a new toothbrush. I currently use the radius, which has served me very well. But it’s been a few months, and my dear toothbrush is all worn out. I tried using switching back to a regular toothbrush, to you know…save money and  but it just wasn’t the same. The toothbrushes you get at the dentist’s office have such hard bristles (bad for my receding gums), and it felt like I was brushing with a toothpick…albeit one with bristles. The radius is fabulous; not only is it soft, but it’s also well-designed.  The Radius is made to fit into your hand at the right angles, so, unlike regular toothbrushes, it evenly distributes pressure while “massaging gum tissue.”The head looks unreasonably large and can be a bit uncomfortable at first, but it’s nice because the soft bristles reach more tooth surface area than a regular brush, and don’t damage your enamel. Plus, if you’re one of those crunchy-granola/save the earth freaks (har har), the radius is nice because the handle is made from wood fibers and is completely recyclable.

Now, who wants to buy me one???

well that sounds kickass…I’ve been having the gum prob too and found out that my hard bristled toothbush (that I thought was good to scrub away the plague) is kicking my gums ass! So now Im looking around too and that Radius looks awesome.

The Radius is nice, but it would be infinitely nicer if it were a bit cheaper :x I guess you gotta pay for good design. Trader Joes also carries a brand of toothbrushes called Preserve, made by Recycline (recycline.com), which are made from recycled materials, have good heads, and are only like $2.79. Also, be careful in yr method of brushing; your gum problems could stem from overbrushing/brushing too hard. At least that’s how mine happened. You just have to use a soft-headed brush, brush lightly, and brush in small circles.

  3. Great post.

Our brushes can be purchased via our website for $7.95 they may cost a bit more than your average brush however they are of great quality. They are gentle on your gums but clean the teeth extremely well.

Our brushes are made of recycled materials as well. The Source is made from Recycled wood fibers and Recycled post consumer plastic!

The Original is made fom 100% sustainable yield wood source.

Not just about recycling but about reusing products thus extending their lives.

The Original brush can be used to clean shoes, tile grout even vegies. Just soak in peroxide give it a good washing and use it for something else after brushing. Even to clean jewelry.

Paying a little bit more for something that lasts a lot longer is worth it.
